A Spanish Football Club Declares Interest to Have Xavi Hernandez as Coach After Retirement

Former Barcelona midfielder Xavi Hernandez announced that he is set to retire at the end of this season.

The 39 years old is currently playing for Qatari club Al Sadd SC.

Xavi is widely known for his long spells playing for Barcelona and internationally for Spain.

He has made several achievements with Barca during his time as the club’s midfielder and as a captain of the club.

During his time in Barce, Hernandez won a total of 25 titles at Barça, which includes the famous treble seasons of 2008/09 and 2014/15.

Xavi : 8x La Liga, 3x Copa del Rey, 4x UEFA Champions League, 2x FIFA Club World Cup, 6x Spanish Super Cup, and 2x UEFA Super Cup. Six-time Copa Catalunya and one-time Catalunya Super Cup winner.

When announcing his retirement, the Spain International also declared his desire to be a manager after retiring.

And it seems his record has got him out since Real Betis are thinking about hiring the former Barca Maestro next season.

This will come as good news to the star as his future seems to be guaranteed. He will be joining a couples of former players who are now club managers like Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard among others.
