How bad is Koscielny injury?

After limping off in the 3-1 win over Valencia in the UEFA Europa League semi-finals, Arsenal manager Unai Emery provided an injury update on skipper Laurent Koscielny.

Koscielny suffered a knock in the first half but continued to play and was subbed off in the 82nd minute as Nacho Monreal came in his place.

Mouctar Diakhaby opened the scoring for Valencia in the 11th minute but a first-half brace from Alexandre Lacazette gave Arsenal the lead at half-time.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang handed the Gunners a healthy advantage heading into the second leg with a last gasp goal.

Speaking in a press conference after the win over Valencia, Emery provided an injury update on Koscielny.

“I hope Koscielny will be ok for Sunday. But I don’t know for the second leg away he was very tired. He ran back 50 metres doing a sprint and it’s normal he can be tired and struggling. I prefer to change him to give also Nacho Monreal ten minutes after his small [calf] injury. Ten minutes helps us and him.”
