As the preparations for the 2022 succession politics takes a center stage almost every politician with presidential ambition is positioning to succeed Uhuru.
The number has almost risen to 15 with William Ruto, William Kabogo,Musalia Mudavadi,Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka top the league.
Although its too early to speculate on who will be on the ballot,political pundits believe more contestants will crop out and declare their intentions to rise.
So far a number of political parties have been reserved for registration according to the registrar of the political party.
A source familiar with new development has hinted that the deputy president William Ruto is now reaching out to former deputy prime minister Musalia Mudavadi for a political pact.
He states that the DP has already sent missionaries to Musalia who is viewed as a potential headache.
Musalia a close ally to Gideon Moi and Isaac Ruto of Chama cha Mashinani are taunted to form an alliance to topple the Jubilee administration.
“Already Ruto has sent Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya and Boni Khalwale to reach out to Musalia who has for long hardened heart,”he said.
Recently Ruto appointed Oparanya and Khalwale as his kingpin in Western region especially in Kakamega County.
The association of the DP with Boni Khalwale is said to have brought a bad blood with Lugali MP Ayub Savula who has also declared interest to succeed Oparanya,he will battle out with Khalwale.
