The battle for 2022 succession politics has paralyzed the business across the Country as leaders are now concentrating on who is suitable to take over from the Uhuru Kenyatta.

Deputy president is the front runner while dozen of candidates especially from Mount Kenya are preparing their ground.

For the longest time, former Kiambu governor William Kabogo has been taunted as the potential candidate to take over as the Mount Kenya kingpin a post currently held y president Uhuru.

Elders and political brokers are pushing for Kabogo to either be the presidential candidate or deputize whoever will be the candidate.

Kamau Thege a Kiambu politician cum analyst state that Kabogo’s braveness and his financial muscle puts him on the front line.

Others who have declared interest for the seat include Peter Kenneth,Moses Kuria,Mwangi Kiunjuri among others.

In an interview, former Kiambu governor Kabogo has said that what matters most for now is political tolerance for the welfare of Wanjiku.

“I’m qualified for both, but I am currently pushing for youth empowerment and economic handshake with all leaders from 47 Counties as well as church leaders,” he states.

The former states that the Kenyans should wait for the right time for campaigns but now they should concentrate on the development.

“Elections come and go, but development is always key for the growth, politicians should now concentrate on empowering youths who are highly affected by drugs while as engage on criminal activities,” he said.

He further states that he is ready to take any role accorded to him by Kenyans as he equal to any task.

Already politicians with wider scheme to succeed Uhuru have revived the TNA party in preparation for 2022.

Two political parties associated with controversial Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria and Murang’a governor Mwangi Wa Iria have been formed as the battle for the control of Mt Kenya votes heighten.

This follows Mt Kenya political kingpin Uhuru Kenyatta’s expected retirement in 2022.

This week, the Registrar of Political Parties Ann Nderitu notified the advocates of Transformational National Alliance Party (TNAP) that the name had been reserved ahead of formal registration.

“Your application has been considered under section 6 of the Political Parties Act, 2011. An application for reservation of name shall be for a period of not more than 90 days,” wrote Ms Nderitu in a letter dated April 24.
