Former Kiambu governor William Kabogo has said that Kenyans would rather have food on their tables than the infamous SGR railway.
‘Hawa vijana unaona hapa hawana raha. Mfuko haina kitu. Hata afadhali wakose reli na wapate chakula’ Kabogo said during a church service at the Israel Assemblies of God in Molo, Nakuru County.
The SGR has become a hot potato in Kenyan politics, especially after President Uhuru and his handshake brother Raila were denied a loan to extend the project from Naivasha to Kisumu.
Kabogo is viewed as one of the anti-Ruto crusaders in Mt. Kenya region. Pundits and analysts, expected him to be at the forefront in leading the community to reject Ruto in 2022.
