About everyone can testify, even workaholics that weekends are very important for people to get a boost of their mood.

Studies report that better mood, greater vitality, and fewer aches and pains from Friday evening through Sunday afternoon as compared with the rest of the week.

Weekends are associated with elevated feelings of freedom and closeness -People are more often involved in activities of their own choosing and spending time with close friends and family members.

People also feel more competent during the weekend than they are at work.

Weekends always provide people with relatively unfettered time to visit their relatives, engage in social activities, explore interests and relax- that is basic psychological needs.

In contrast, the work week “is replete with activities involving external controls, time pressures, and demands on behaviour related to work.

One should, therefore, observe weekends and keep away from work- Just get the time and let the body rest.
