‘Survey’ proves that Thika road users risk dying in the hands of ruthless Kenya mpya buses

Kenyans have now asked the NTSA, the Speed Governors and Road Safety Association to inspect Kenya Mpya buses after a video online proved it lacked the device, which is a requirement for all public transport vehicles.

This comes after Kenyans reacted angrily when a bus, KCN 587S, belonging to Kenya Mpya, crashed a woman’s leg on Thika Road.

According to a video making headlines and going viral, the bus was moving to speeds of over 100km/h competing and overtaking vehicles putting the lives of passengers at risk.

It is unbelievable that passengers on this buses are quite through the journey and even sleep risking their lives despite numerous campaigns to educate road users from protesting high speed drivers.

It is believed that the buses have tampered with speed governors to make a fortunes by driving fast to arrive their destinations.

Lack of the speed regulator only adds to a myriad of requirements that the bus owned by Mt Kenya mafias have flouted.

Traffic police officers along the thika road route should have inspected the buses and noticed they lack vital requirements. It is the mandate of the motor vehicle inspection department to conduct random crackdowns and for police to conduct inspections along the road.
