The Kenya Film Classification Board CEO, Ezekiel Mutua, has been trying hard to fight off any possible immorality in the media industry. With the many murder cases revolving around relationships, he started a move on doing away with songs inciting such cases.

The first song to be banned was ‘Takataka’ by Alvindo. After the ban, the audio was deleted from Youtube. However, days later, Alvindo, under his manager, KRG the Don, released ‘Takataka’ video.

Just as KRG the Don had said that the song can’t be stopped, the one million viewed audio has been returned to YouTube. Krg has expressed his joy through his Instagram account where he wrote; “Ngoma imeshika mitaani hadi YouTube wamerudisha ile ya 1.1M views TakaTaka is Unstoppable kama Reggae.”

Alvindo shared his joy too by writing; “My audio with 1.1M views imeridishwa due to public demand. New music loading.”

Criticizing Mutua’s ban. Krg said; ” This is the best joke I have seen today
How can someone say that the Taka Taka song advocates for violence against women SMH when did a joke become so important to some people yet Kenya as a nation we have so many problems that need that attention right now!

This is a big let down to the industry at large for giving such big positions to negative minded people who do nothing to make our industry better than yesterday’s. In fact, they don’t even know what the artists go through just to produce even a single audio track!! Anyways we shall continue to produce music regardless of what they do or say.

Art is Art and no one can stop it. Alvindo wrote as song to entertain his fans not his haters so Fast cash music group we shall keep entertaining our fans and ignoring the unnecessary side shows || Geng Geng || Bare Badness str8 || BomboLulu Takataka video dropping soon cc Magix enga beat king tuko na kazi ya diss track leo.”

On banning the song, Mutua said; “The song ‘Takataka’ is characterized by crude language that objectifies women and glorifies hurting them as a normal reaction to rejection.” It is not clear why the audio has been returned to YouTube after being termed as an inciting song.
