Both United and Man City Fans Were Not Happy With This Unifying T-Shirt

Wednesday match between Manchester United and Manchester City will be one of the hottest this season.

Unlike 2011/2012, the two teams won’t be contesting for the Premier League title. Instead, they will be contesting for crucial positions in the table, making this derby one of its own.

Manchester City are currently battling Liverpool for the Premier League title and a win against United will see them jump Liverpool to the first position.

The Red Devils on their side are battling Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal for a top-four finish, meaning a win will revive their hopes of competing for the title.

Amidst all that, fans will be betting for a huge amount and souvenirs like half-and-half scarves and T-shirt will be taunting.

Manchester United v Manchester City - Premier League

It’s a real point of contention for some fans and evidence of the often-maligned status of ‘modern football.’

Drawing on this feeling, the team at ‘The Sportsman’ decided to go one step further – creating a United and City half-and-half jersey to show to fans.

Supporters were shown the controversial kit ahead of the Manchester derby.

Unsurprisingly, the shirt looked incredibly bizarre and as fans were questioned about it, there was no shortage of angry reactions.

The jersey was met with a bombardment of swear words and most fans said they’d need hundreds or thousands of pounds to even put it on.

There certainly won’t be anybody sporting it at Old Trafford tonight, though, and fans will be completely focused on the massive game ahead.

Shirt squabbles will pale in comparison when the Premier League title and top four races are being contested.
