A city lawyer has been arrested and detained at Park lands police station over defilement of his six children.
The lawyer had brought them at MP shah hospital for screening arguing that he want to know their status since they are adults.
The father of 11 is being held as police start investigations after one of his children confessed to nurses that he had defiled her several times.
The lawyer lost one of his wives in July 2017.
The 14-year-old girl reportedly told the medics that the lawyer was her uncle turned guardian and that he had allegedly been defiling her, which prompted the medics to call the police.
Cases of fathers having forceful sex with their daughters are common across Kenya, a new study on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) has shown.
About 17 per cent of fathers have had sex with their own girls with the research findings showing that many Kenyans (about 49 per cent) agree that GBV is widespread.
In Rift Valley 47 per cent of the respondents agreed that GBV was common, Coast (58 per cent) while 42 per cent of those interviewed in Central approved of the vice.
