The Lifestyle audit crusade has once again been taken to DP William Ruto’s doorstep.

Just when Kenyans had apparently forgoten about this whole Lifestyle audit thing, MP Ayub Savula and his colleagues happened.

The Members of Parliament are now calling for a lifestyle audit on Deputy President William Ruto to determine his wealth.

Speaking to Journalists at Parliament buildings yesterday, the legislators claimed it would be in the interest of Ruto if the country knows his total income as this would clear the air on what exactly he owns.

“A lifestyle audit should be carried out on the DP based on his known income,”reads a statement from the MPs.

The Members of Parliament also defended the Central Organisation of Trade Unions (Cotu) secretary general Francis Atwoli’s recent remarks.

Speaking in Lamu last weekend, Mr Atwoli claimed that Mr Ruto’s name will not be on the ballot come 2022, setting off a flurry of angry reactions from pro-Ruto MPs who challenged him to explain his statement.
