The Ministry of Health has assured Kenyans that the cholera situation is under control following the heightened surveillance and the ongoing intervention measures.
In a statement issued to media houses, Health CS Sicily Kariuki stated that medical teams have been dispatched to the worst hit counties to support in the response measures.
The Ministry has attributed factors propagating cholera as scarce clean water, poor sanitation and unhygienic practices.
This develops as 52 staffs at the prestigious Nairobi Hospital have been reportedly infected by the disease.
