The highly publicized story of the Kakamega identical girls puzzle has caught the attention of the DCI.
The DCI say they would assist the family find out their identity through investigations.
“The attention of the @DCI_Kenya has been drawn to the highly publicized story of the #Kakamega twin puzzle. We believe forensic investigation will establish if any criminal act was committed or any mitigating circumstances that may have led to the present status.”
The families concerned are also encouraged to report to the DCI office in Kakamega.
Parents of the two ‘identical’ girls had demanded a DNA test to know whether they are related in away or not, but were quick to add they would accept any outcome.
The two girls who are KCSE candidates backed their parents request for DNA to help them clear the matter as soon as possible so that they can focus on preparing for their national exams at the end of the year.
