Image result for acne lowering self esteem

Acne has negatively impacted on self-esteem and quality of life and increased the risk for psychological disorders.

Teens with acne may suffer from low self-esteem or have a lower quality of life than their fresh-faced peer.

Our society places a great emphasis on ideals of physical perfection. This ideal demonstrates not only a slim figure, but perfect skin.

It is only natural that this is reflected, even if subconsciously, in the way we think about ourselves, and the way we believe others measure us.

Milk, Honey and Brown Sugar Facial Scrub

Acne sufferers with low self esteem may have some of these characteristics:

overly concerned with the image that other people see of them
withdrawing from challenges
blaming everything on themselves
not willing to take on responsibilities
lack of confidence
emotional confusion
mental confusion
depression
anxiety

Here are some of the ways you can get rid of acnes at the comfort of your home.

Exfoliate and moisturize in one with this face scrub.use it 1-2 times a week, and it makes your skin feel extremely clean and soft. It’s straightforward and cheap to make.

If you have oily skin like I do, you can omit the milk, and add a few drops of lemon juice.

You Will Need:
Bowl
Milk
2 tsp. Granulated Sugar
3 tsp. Honey

Steps:

Pour a few tablespoons of honey into a microwave-safe dish. I tend to use about 3 tablespoons, but more/less is fine. Microwave for a few seconds on high until melted. Be very careful when you take it out, it will be extremely hot!
Pour in the milk (lemon juice if not using milk) and stir until combined with the honey.

Add about 2 tablespoons of sugar to the mix. I use regular white granulated sugar, but you can use brown or caster. Stir a tiny bit to soak the sugar in the mix, but don’t let it dissolve.

Cleanse your face with just water, and leave wet. Dip a cotton ball into the mix, (Or use your fingers if you don’t mind getting them covered in honey) and apply the warm mix all over your face, in small circular motions.

The sugar in the mix will help exfoliate, and the milk and honey will moisturize. If you’re using lemon juice, it should help to mattify.

Yes, it will feel gross for a bit. Leave it on your face for about 10-15 minutes. Rinse off gently to avoid getting the sugar into your eyes, or it scratching your face.

Your skin should feel clean, soft and smooth after using.
