
Just three years to 2022,politicians are setting the grounds for succession politics either in Counties or in national government.
Already a good number are seeking to ouster the sitting governors or succeeding those in the final round.

Political analysts have contributed the rises on corruption scandals politics noting that some are looking for money to fund their campaigns.
Recently president Uhuru is said to have warned cabinet secretaries of attending fundraising.

Those familiar with the information states that the intelligence department requested Uhuru to do so as the Cs were using the government money to campaign for 2022 through the launch of the government projects in their counties.
Here are CSs who are likely to contest for elective seats in the much awaited 2022 general election.
1. Eugene Wamalwa

Wamalwa is likely to contest for the Trans-Nzoia top seat in 2022.
The Devolution CS served as the Saboti MP before he was appointed to the Cabinet by Uhuru.

In 2017 he had set the ground running before Uhuru requested him to abandon the race and serve as Cs in the Jubilee government.
2. Mwangi Kiunjuri
The Agriculture CS is likely to venture into elective politics in 2022.

In the 2017 general election, Kiunjuri was allegedly seeking to contest for the Laikipia governor seat before President Kenyatta convinced him not contest because he needed him in his Cabinet. He is likely to fulfill his gubernatorial dream.
Najib Balala
Balala is said seeking to succeed Mombasa governor Hassan Joho.

In 2013 he tried his luck but lost terribly before Uhuru appointed him to the cabinet.
In 2017,the Cs for tourism had announced the plan but he shelved the ambition after Uhuru requested him to do so.

He once served as Mvita Mp.
4. Charles Keter
He was the Kericho Senator before his appointment to the Cabinet by President Kenyatta.
Being a close political ally to Deputy President William Ruto, chances of him (Keter) seeking an elective seat in 2022 general election are high.
5. Fred Matiang’i
A section of politicians especially from Gusii region is piling pressure on the Interior Cabinet Secretary to seek an elective seat in 2022 polls.
He is said to run for a gubernatorial seat in 2022 if he will not deputize anyone for the presidency.
Matiang’i is has been termed y Kenyans as super performing Cs under the Uhuru’s regime.
