Kenyans online have blasted the State House for highlighting tycoon Chris Kirubi’s registration for the National Integrated Identity Management System (NIIMS), also known as the Huduma Namba.
The State House put up a public note on Twitter, commending Chris Kirubi for registering.
It was followed by comments from Kenyans online questioning why they too were not given a commendation for doing the same thing.
This is as the registration of the new system has been thrown in to a political and even religious brawl.
Opposition leader Raila Odinga followed President Kenyatta’s suit in registering, even leading to a billboard created on the same.
This was as Deputy President William Ruto delayed before joining the system, arousing speculations that he is against President Kenyatta on the move.
He however disbanded the claims, when he was later seen to join in.
The Huduma Namba registration has at the same time been labelled ‘demonic’ by some religious die-hards who have refused to take part.
