‘He gave his life to Christ hours before death’ Kantai’s Manager Reveals

One of the most iconic rap stars in the Kenyan music industry has passed on a few days. You might know him as Chris Kantai or Kantai The G. Kantai is among the pioneers of the music industry in Kenya alongside other legends like E-Sir, Nameless and Abbas.

His star rose while pushing rap and Hip Hop genre when everyone else was on Kapuka. Kantai had legendary tracks like Huu Nani G, Haters, What Mo, Kenyanised, Jinga Hii, and Happy with STL. His catalogue remains intact as his jams are timeless.

Kantai’s manager Ciku in an interview recounted his last moment alive saying he developed complications from an over the counter medication at the same time revealing that Kantai had received salvation.

“He reacted to medicine he bought over the counter, he complained about his feet. He also had issues breathing and eating and as a result he was very weak. One thing people don’t know is that he gave his life to Christ hours before his death.” She said

She also said that Kantai had visited the hospital on several occasions because of peptic ulcers and Bi-polar.
