COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli has once again cursed another Luhya politician. This time it is former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale.
Speaking in Lamu, during fundraising for a Women’s Sacco, Atwoli said that Khalwale will never be the governor of Kakamega.
“Bonny Khalwale will never be the governor of Kakamega County; he will die a beggar” The trade Unionist cursed.
He said that in Luhya, Khalwale means a small sickly person and that if a parent gives birth to a child knowing that he will be a beggar forever then, he would rather kill that child.
Last month, during a funeral in Kakamega, Khalwale questioned Atwoli’s academic credentials.
“Atwoli how dare you say Luhya are not learned? I am a doctor of medicine but I don’t know what you are.” The former Senator said.
Khalwale also accused Atwoli of lying to the Luhya people that he was campaigning for Mudavai, yet he has been going around telling President Uhuru to change the constitution because he is too young to retire.
But Atwoli has now told Khalwale that he has sired two doctors and several lawyers.
‘Niko na madakatari wawili, lawyers kadhaa, political scientist na Wahubiri.’ He said he has prayed that God makes Khalwale die begging.
Khalwale, a key member of DP William Ruto’s campaign team is among several Luhya politicians that have been branded beggars by Atwoli.
Last month, he also revealed that he had cursed former CS Rashid Echesa and told him that he would watch him coming down.
