What’s in a Look? Eric Adede’s Face Does Not Portray Him as True Owner of the Nabbed 2 Billion At Barclays

Controversy surrounding the alleged fake 2 billion shillings nabbed at Barclays Bank’s Queensway branch seem to be far from over.

This comes after the owner of the safe that held the money demanded that the Director od Criminal Investigations be ordered to give him back the money.

Eric Adede, who has sued DCI boss George Kinoti and Barclays Bank, said he is the owner of the safe box that contained 20,067,900 million dollars which the police seized. He accused the bank and DCI of colluding to unlawfully break into the box and seizing the contents.

“The applicant is apprehensive that the DCI might tamper with the currency that does not form part of the criminal case thus depriving him of his money,” his lawyer Martin Oloo said in court documents.

He wants the court to direct the DCI to produce and hand over Sh2,006,790,000 and assorted books and magazines.

This comes even as renowned City Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi questioned if a man like Erick Adede can indeed own a genuine 2 billion shillings.

“Can this FACE own genuine $20 million…I don’t think so…” he tweeted.

His sentiments led to mixed reactions among his followers with some finding it funny while others took time to remind him not to be so judgemental towards other people because of their facial looks.
