After Arsenal, Dortmund and Man City, Man Utd set to be the latest victim of the ‘Drake Curse’

The ‘Drake curse’ conspiracy theory

It’s one of the most viral and well-known conspiracy theories on social media.

Drake, the Canadian rapper, is toxic when it comes to sportstars.

Drake is a huge sports fan, who often appears on social media with athletes.

For years conspiracy theorists have touted the claim that there’s a ‘Drake curse’.

Put simply, if you’re a sportsman and you appear in a picture with Drake, bad things (i.e. defeats) follow.

ARSENAL fans were left fearing the worst when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang presented Drake with a Gunners shirt, with their ensuing loss at Everton seemingly confirming the rapper’s “curse”.

Cue Arsenal’s 1-0  defeat at Everton on Sunday in the Premier League, which could prove critical for Arsenal’s top four hopes this season.

Germany:

Whilst in Germany, he hung out with Jadon Sancho.

And what happened next? Borussia Dortmund lost 5-0 last weekend to Bayern Munich as the Bavarians moved into first place in the Bundesliga.

Aguero

And then we get to Man City’s Sergio Aguero.

Aguero has also uploaded pictures and video with Drake on his social media accounts recently.

However the Drake curse appeared to strike the Argentine in the Champions League against Tottenham.

Aguero saw his first half penalty saved by Spurs keeper Hugo Lloris.

Tottenham went on to win the match 1-0 thanks to a Son Heung-min winner.
