When news went round that Everline Namukhula, mother to the now famous Kakamega quintuplets had successfully delivered her bundles of joy, many Kenyans were happy for her with many wishing her and her kids good health.

Some well wishers even visited her at the hospital with a number of gifts to help her get back to her feet as she embarks on the journey of raising her newborns.

This was not to be as she fell ill and went to be with her maker on Sunday, leaving some of her newborns behind.

The 28-Year old from Shisokhe Village in Navakholo died from a complication Sunday afternoon at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) in Eldoret.

It is also here that two of her newborns lost their lives while undergoing special care.

Medics have confirmed that the late Everlyne complained of chest pains and persistent headache and was put on an antibiotic and a blood clot test done.

She would, however, later pass on, a death that Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula has called for a probe into.

According to Wetangula, Mrs Everlyne may not have received the proper post natal medicare and as such has called on the Ministry of Health to give an explanation.

“Everlyne Namukhula, the kakamega quintuplets mother, has died under unclear circumstances. She may not have received proper/adequate post natal medicare after carrying such a heavy responsibility & a CS delivery! MOH owes an explanation !” Said Wetangula.
