DCI detectives have today launched a manhunt for thugs impersonating police officers on major roads.
This comes after their face off with 5 men (thugs) who were performing traffic duties along Machakos-Kitui Rd when Detectives commanded them to surrender.
Instead they fired at the officers and the detectives managed to neutralize 3 of them with 2 escaping from the scene.
The detectives managed to recover Pistol, ammunitions & Vehicle and also rescued one of their victim whom they had already handcuffed.
The thugs have been impersonating Traffic Police Officers along the major roads before handcuffing their victims & stealing their motor vehicles.
DCI Detectives have been following them based on information received from their previous victims & were cornered today at Makuyuni.
