There is no doubt that DP William Ruto is an Anti-ODM person and that as long as things go south in the opposition Party, he will always be a happy and pleased man.
Friday saw residents of Ugenya Constituency and Embakasi South go to the polls to elect new members of Parliament after previous results for the respective areas were nullified by the Courts.
Yesterday’s contest was majorly seen as a contest between Raila and Ruto Forces.
DP Ruto’s party, the Jubilee Party did not field a candidate at the two contests but that has not stopped Kenyans from comparing the DP’s prowess to that of Raila.
With the loss of ODM in both Ugenya and Embakasi South, DP Ruto has been seen as the Victor with ODM seem as his Victims.
It was a major blow for ODM leader Raila Odinga after a candidate from a rival party David Ochieng won the Ugenya by-election.
Vote tallying ended early Saturday with Ochieng’s 18,730 votes pushing him to the top.
He vied on a Movement for Democracy and Growth (MDG) ticket.
Raila’s candidate, Christoper Karan (Orange Democratic Movement) emerged second with 14,507 votes.
In Embakasi South, Mawathe who vied on a Wiper Party ticket was declared winner of the Embakasi South by-election with 21,628 votes.
Sumra emerged a distant second with 7,988 votes
Ruto then took to his official Twitter Page to celebrate the duo’s respective victories.
He Congratulated bothe David Ochieng and Mawathe as he emphasized that the Hustler Nation has spoken and that the people have decided.
Ruto then thenked God for granting both Ochieng and Mawathe Victories.
“CONGRATULATIONS Ochieng (Ugenya) & Mawathe (Embakasi) for your God given victory. Jameni wacheni MUNGU aitwe MUNGU. The hustler nation has spoken, the people have decided. GLORY TO THE ALMIGHTY GOD,” Said Ruto.
