Language Teenagers Use To Survive Their Parents

We need life tactics to survive this beautiful and eventful life at every stage in life. However, the teenage stage is the most ecstatic, or should I say it’s a vibrating stage.

In teenagehood, there is a lot that one goes through that tend to force one to cheat to most especially the parents.

Every teenager in one way or the other, have found himself in a situation where they just have to lie in order for things to act on their favor.

Talking of lies, here are some of the common lies that most teenagers always tell their parents.

1. “I didn’t have my phone with me.”

When a teenager doesn’t want to pick a call from their parents, they will definitely explain themselves later by lying that their phone was not with them.

2. “I finished my homework! Can I go out now?”

When a teenager wants to join his or her friends to go somewhere, they will definitely tell you anything just to not hinder them from going.

Even if they happen to have unfinished homework, they will end up lying that they have completed their homework.

3. “I’ll give you back the change!”

This, in reality, means that the change won’t return any time soon.

Most of the teenager tend to use the remaining change for their personal use such as buying movies.

4. “Oh, we’re just friends.”

It is rare for a teenage kid to admit that he or she is in love.

Instead, when seen smiling when a certain name flashes on their phone screen and asked who it is, they will lie saying that it’s just a friend.

5. “Everyone’s going.”

When teenager happens to ask permission to go somewhere, the common lie they use is that everyone is going.

This way, as a parent you will feel guilt hindering your son or daughter from joining other friends.
