Infinix has a broad range of smartphones on different price categories and one of the lines is the ‘S’ line of smartphones.
Infinix Kenya teased their next smartphone, which is apparently a ‘selfie phone’ on their social networking account and we don’t know much about it, until now.
Now there are rumors that the 4th selfie phone in this series will feature a tear drop notch. This will be the 4th time Infinix has changed how the display looks in this series, where you see the S and the S2 had normal screens flanked by huge bezels, then came the S3X which featured a huge rectangular notch which was inline with the zeitgeist at the time.
The tear drop notch will obviously go round the camera, which we expect to be good since this is a phone meant for taking selfies. The Infinix S3X had a 16MP camera with huge 1.4µm pixels, so we expect its successor to have a good selfie camera.
There is still no confirmation about the specifications and features of the next Infinix S series of smartphone.

The ‘notched’ smartphone trend started in late 2017 with the Essential phone and became the theme for 2018. Expensive smartphones and eventually budget smartphones all sported notched screens which was a workaround to having that coveted all screen display on a phone. Interesting still, we saw all types of notches. The huge traditional notch from the iPhone, deep bathtub notch from the Pixel 3, waterdrop notch from Oppos and OnePlus phones and the water drop notch from Huawei phones.
