How Amazon’s founder Jeff Bezos Won His Divorce against wife, McKenzie

Amazon Founder and CEO Jeff Bezos and his wife MacKenzie Bezos have announced that they have finalized the plans for their divorce.

The couple allegedly divorced after being married for over 20 years after rumors of Bezos cheating on his wife with another man’s fiancée surfaced.

MacKenzie Bezos, through her Twitter Handle, announced the News stating that Jeff Bezos would keep 75% of the couple’s Amazon Shares and the sole voting rights over MacKenzie’s shares in Amazon.

Jeff Bezos will also keep all the ownership of the Blue Origin Space Company and Washington Post according to Mackenzie’s Tweet.

After the divorce has been finalized, MacKenzie Bezos will be expected to own around 4% (which is worth about $36 Billion) of Amazon Shares becoming the 4th richest woman in the world.

Jeff Bezos is expected to remain as the Richest Man in the world with a total value of about $110 Billion (11 Trillion shillings) according to Thursday afternoon stock trading.

It had been previously speculated that Jeff and MacKenzie would have to share their wealth on a 50%-50% share.

This is because according to Washington State Laws where Bezos and MacKenzie brought up their children, when a couple divorces, they are supposed to share equally whatever they have achieved during the time they have been together.

Sources have intimated that the two are most likely to divorce officially before July this year.

MacKenzie has kept a low profile in the past only making appearances once in a while and at one time when she was asked, replied that she was focusing on writing her novel and raising their children.

MacKenzie wrote on her Twitter page that she was happy and excited on her own plans even though she did not get into details about what she was working on.

Bill Gates will also remain as the second richest man in the world with a value of $102 Billion.
