Home remedies for a perfect glowing skin

It is every woman’s dream to have glowing skin. Many have tried a lot of chemicals to attain perfect skin but they end up being disappointed. Our skin is fragile, and exposing it to harmful chemicals is always a huge risk to take. Stressful lifestyles, hectic work schedules, inadequate sleep, lack of nutritional diet, pollution, harmful sun rays, excessive smoking, and drinking alcohol are the major factors which make your skin dull and dry.

All of these are part and parcel of your life and you cannot run away from them. However, you can surely prevent them. Of course, you cannot hold on to your age, but you can surely slow down the loss of glow and radiance from your skin with these simple remedies.

TURMERIC

  • 1/2-1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 4 tablespoons gram flour (also called chickpea flour)
  • Milk or water

Mix the turmeric powder with the gram flour. To this, add enough milk or water to form a paste.
2. Apply this on your face and neck.
3. Leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse with plain water.

Use this remedy once or twice a week.

COCONUT OIL

Virgin coconut oil

  1. Lightly warm up the oil and apply on the face and neck.
    2. Massage for a few minutes in gentle circular motions.
    3. Leave the oil on overnight.

You can add some sugar to the oil and use it as a scrub to exfoliate your skin once or twice a week. Use coconut oil every night before going to bed.

ALOE VERA

  • 1 tablespoon aloe vera gel
  • A pinch of turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon milk

1. Mix all the ingredients. Apply this mixture on the face and neck evenly.
2. Leave it on for about 20 minutes.
3. Rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry.

Apply this face pack up to twice a week.

BAKING SODA

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon honey

1. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl.
2. Apply the mixture on damp face and neck using circular motions.
3. Leave it on for 10 minutes.
4. Rinse with cool water and pat dry. Moisturize as usual.

Apply this face pack once a week.

LEMON

  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons sugar

1. Mix the ingredients and apply the mixture on your face.
2. Scrub in a circular motion and leave it on for 10 minutes.
3. Rinse off with warm water to reveal glowing skin.

Repeat this twice a week.

PAWPAW

  • A few pieces of ripe papaya
  • 1 teaspoon sandalwood powder or Fuller’s earth (multani mitti)
  • 1 teaspoon honey

1. Take a ripe papaya and cut it into small pieces.
2. Add the sandalwood powder or Fuller’s earth and honey to it.
3. Mix all of them to get a paste-like consistency.
4. Apply it all over your face and neck.
5. Keep it on for 20 minutes and then rinse with cool water.

Do this once every week.

CUCUMBER

  • 1 small cucumber
  • 2-3 tablespoons yogurt

1. Grate the cucumber and add the yogurt to it. Beat it properly.
2. Apply it on your face and neck.
3. Leave it on for five minutes until it dries and wash it off with cold water.

Repeat this once in every three to four days.

HONEY

Honey

1. Apply honey evenly on clean and damp skin.
2. Massage it for a few minutes and leave it on for another five minutes.
3. Wash the honey off with lukewarm water.

Apply honey every alternate day.

A healthy diet is very important for your body and skin. Fresh fruits and vegetables are a storehouse of vitamins and minerals that are important for our body. Try to include them in your daily diet for a younger and glowing skin.
