Ruto has been traversing the whole country in preparation for 2022 presidential ambitions.

” We accompanied the Deputy President H.E Dr. William Samoei Ruto to Kiambu county where we joined Christian faithfuls of St Martin Catholic Church Karuri, Kiambaa,”he posted.
A source who has sought anonymity has hinted to Daily Active Kenya that ,the governor knew of his arrest and he sought the help of the deputy president.

“The governor knew that he that he will be arrested and he had requested the help of the DP who assured him all will be well,”he said.
In June last year,a court upheld the election of Samburu Governor Moses Lenolkulal.

Appellate court judges sitting in Nakuru dismissed the appeal filed by Mr Simeon Lesirma, who was the ODM candidate in last year’s election, saying it was improperly served and filed out of time.
Justices Fatuma Sichale, Sankale ole Kantai and Philip Waki said the mode in which the notice of appeal was served was wrong after it emerged that it was delivered via a matatu from Nairobi to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission advocate.
