2 Months after drama rose at the Tharaka-Nithi Governor Muthomi Njuki’s office of women who dumped their pants at the place in protest against alleged insults, the governor has been asked to go for cleansing.
Njuki has dismissed calls by a section of the Ameru Njuri Ncheke Council of Elders that he offers a bull for sacrifice to ‘cleanse him and county government offices of a curse’.
Speaking on Monday at WERU PCEA church in Chuka/Igambang’ombe, Mr. Njuki said the elders and the women were being used by his political rivals to intimidate him and disrupt his work.
But Njuri Ncheke County chapter chairman, Kangori M’Thaara, insists that if not cleansed, Mr Njuki’s government was likely to face a lot of misfortunes.
