
Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has offered to mediate talks seeking to resolve the ongoing political feud between Deputy President William Ruto and Opposition leader Raila Odinga.

“Mimi nashirikiana na wazee wa kanisa huko Nairobi, nitahakikisha Raila Odinga na William Ruto pia watakua na handshake yao… (I am working together with church elders at Nairobi and I will ensure Raila Odinga and William Ruto also have a handshake),” said Sonko.

He further urged leaders to refrain from 2022 politics and instead focus on serving Kenyans.
“Na kama ni siasa ya 2022 tuache, tukue na lineup ya handshake, mi najua Raila na Deputy President William Ruto wakifanya handshake wasalimiane, Kenya usalama utakua miaka nenda miaka rudi…(Let us stop focusing on 2022 politics and instead have a handshake lineup, I know if Raila and Deputy President William Ruto have a handshake, peace in Kenya will last for many years),” Sonko said.
