Exposed! What Uhuru told Ruto in their Harambee Annex meeting

On March 26, 2019, President Uhuru Kenyatta matched to his deputy William Ruto’s office at Harambee annex during a lunch hour. However, details of their meeting had remained scanty.

But what was the meeting all about? Well, Details have emerged about the intrigues of President Kenyatta’s widely publicised visit to Ruto’s office.

According to a local daily, there was more than meets the eye other than the choreographed sign of an end to the strained relationship. 

Interviews with those privy to the discussions have revealed that the president alerted his second in command of the drastic action he intends to take on the war on corruption. 

Uhuru wanted to psychologically prepare Ruto of impending high profile arrests of some of his allies as the president seeks to stamp his foot on the graft war. 

Close associates of Ruto have been lamenting that the war on corruption was being used to frustrate him. 

“The Head of State asked the DP to join hands with him to slay the dragon of corruption. He told him should he see any high profile arrests, he should not take it personally,” a trusted source told the daily.

Those who were present in Ruto’s office at the time of the meeting disclosed that April could be the turning point for graft as the DPP Noordin Haji institutes charges against three Cabinet Secretaries.

President Kenyatta first had a private meeting with his deputy before they invited other leaders like Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko to join in. 

The information obtained by the local daily was courtesy of what they shared out with close aides.

Before meeting Ruto at his Harambee House Annex office, Uhuru had hosted Raila in State House right before the former PM jetted out to Morroco.
