Have you ever got your balls checked for cancer? 

Maybe you have never thought of getting checked but this is as important as any other health check up . Testicular cancer is one of the most common cancer in men aged between 20-35.

It is advisable to check your balls at least once a month for lumps or swelling.

One can decided to be examined by a doctor but it is also possible to do a self examination.

Every man is free to decide whether or not to do this, instructions for testicular exams are included in form of pictorials

Incase you have certain risk factors that increase your chance of developing testicular cancer (such as an undescended testicle, previous germ cell tumor in one testicle, or a family history), it is advisable to consider monthly self-exams and talk about it with your doctor.

The best time for you to examine your testicles is during or after a bath or shower, when the skin of the scrotum is relaxed.

  • Hold your penis out of the way and examine each testicle separately.
  • Hold your testicle between your thumbs and fingers with both hands and roll it gently between your fingers.
  • Look and feel for any hard lumps or nodules (smooth rounded masses) or any change in the size, shape, or consistency of your testicles.

Regular self-examination of your testicles will get you to know what’s normal and what’s different.

It is also important to report any changes to your doctor without delay.
