The arrest was confirmed by Bomet Central police chief Geoffrey Walumbe.

The officer said that the law enforcers arrived at the right time to rescue the suspect from irate residents who wanted to lynch her.

In the intial case, according to the Citizen Digital, the suspect was nabbed with several rolls of the same drug.

She was arrested on grounds of being in possession of bhang, and is likely to be arraigned using the same charges one again.

Bhang is one of the illegal drugs in Kenya as per the rules of the land, and being caught while in possession, selling or using it can attract tough punitive measures from the courts.
