Man Utd Boss Ole Gunnar Identifies THREE Targets on his ‘Must sigh List’

Solskjaer has been handed the Manchester United job on a full-time basis this summer after impressing since taking over from Jose Mourinho in December.

And he’s begun planning his summer recruitment drive with the Sun reporting that he wants THREE England stars.

Jadon Sancho has emerged as United’s top target in recent weeks after his stunning form at Borussia Dortmund has seen him fast-tracked into the England side.

And next on United’s shortlist is Crystal Palace ace Aaron Wan-Bissaka as they look to sign a new right-back with Antonio Valencia set to leave.

While Declan Rice is now also said to be in the picture having starred for West Ham this term.

The arrival of Rice would likely spell the end of £50m summer signing Fred, who has struggled to adapt to life in Manchester and has been rarely used by Solskjaer.

Rice would likely become the new sitter behind Paul Pogba and either Nemanja Matic or Ander Herrera, if he manages to agree a new contract.

To sign all three youngsters would cost United a king’s ransom and would require selling a handful of fringe players.

But they’ve already been told to forget Sancho by Dortmund chief Michael Zorc.

Zorc told German publication BILD: “I have no knowledge [of it], but it is also completely irrelevant.

“I’m far from putting a price tag on Jadon, but I will say that, even for the biggest club in the world, his transfer would be difficult right now.

“Jadon will play at Dortmund next season and we are definitely planning with. He certainly will not play until his retirement in Dortmund. That too is true.”

Rice meanwhile has impressed at West Ham in the base of midfield and earned an England call up for the last round of international games – starting against Montenegro on Monday.

West Ham would be loathed to sell their key player who is earmarked as a future captain but may be offered a fee too good to refuse.

Wan-Bissaka meanwhile is the most attainable target on paper, although even a deal for him will not be without complications.

The 21-year-old signed a contract until 2022 last year and has also been linked with Manchester City.

United are looking to recover from a blip – having lost two games in a row for the first time under Solskjaer – when they face Watford this weekend.

They have dropped outside the top four and are two points behind Arsenal and only one ahead of Chelsea.

Despite the blip Solskjaer is still regarded as a certainty to be given the job in the summer, something former striker Andy Cole is backing.

“I would give him the job,” Cole said.

“When he came to the club I could see why they were doing it, but we’ve got to be all brutally honest – I don’t think anyone could have sat here and said he would do as well as he has.

“He has gone in, he has galvanised the club, they’ve got results at the right time.”
