Former Kiambu governor William Kabogo now want president Uhuru Kenyatta to reach out to his deputy president William Ruto and solve their personal differences if they exists.
Speaking at Emoo Fm on Tuesday,the former governor wondered whether the duo can campaign together if the election were to be held today.
“Let Uhuru as the head of state reach out to Ruto the way he did in 2013 during the campaign,”he said adding that the unity that the duo portrayed must be seen.
He said that the two should know how to fight the enemy that is killing the realization of Jubilee big 4 agenda that has remained a pipe dream.
Kabogo gave a scenario of Malaysia where the prime minister was jailed for three years after engaging into corruption deals.
“We can’t keep pointing finger on everyone, let Uhuru lead the war on corruption failure to which a revolution by Kenyans will come that will wash the corrupt leaders away from the public.
Kabogo said that Kenyans are tired of empty threats as billions of money are stolen daily.
He wondered how a politician can afford to buy a house in Muthaiga worth sh 400 million while also purchasing three prime plots in Nairobi County.
He said that Uhuru and Ruto are the custodians of the state and once they face against each other corrupt cartels take advantage of the situation and steals public money.
The former governor called for the audit of the constitution noting that an overhaul constitution amendment wont help the challenges that Kenyans are facing.
Kabogo warned politicians against politicizing the war on corruption noting that those adversely mentioned should be ready to carry their cross.
“If Kabogo has stolen let us stop saying that Kikuyu are thieves,deal with Kabogo as an individual without dragging the whole community to the mess,”he said.
He further said that those accusing finger to Ruto of being corrupt should file a complain to the relevant authority for him to be jailed instead of playing politics.
“If you say Ruto has stolen,well,kindly present the evidence to the relevant authority for Ruto to be arrested as playing dirty politics won’t help,”Kabogo said.
He added that the threats and intimidation towards the Judiciary and office of director of criminal investigations won’t be allowed.
