Every celebrity has a story how they rose to fame and the people behind their success,not many will come back to thank individuals who brought them to lime light.
Kenya based Tanzanian singer Kizo-B has for the first time revealed details of how Kenyan socialite Huddah Monroe helped kick start his music career.
Speaking in a recent interview, Kizo-B who recently switched from secular to Gospel music said that Huddah was the first person to believe in him when he was nobody and had nothing.
He went on to say that Huddah carried a copy of his CD everywhere she went and she was the first person who introduced him to Kajairo who was then a radio presenter at Q-FM and that’s how things changed for him.
“Huddah alinisaidia sana,Alikuwa anatembea na CD yangu kwa handbag yake, akapea Kajairo. Kajairo after kusikia hio ngoma akatuma Huddah akamwambia nataka kuona huyu msanii, so sikuwa na simu so Huddah kile alifanya kwa sababu alikuwa najua mahali nilipenda kushinda akakuja huko akaniambia saa kumi onana na Kajairo pale Nation Centre anakutafuta. Kajairo akaniambia unaimba vizuri sana unaishi wapi nikamueleza sina mahali pa kukaa, nalala kwa studio na kwa roundabout pale Koja kabla wabomoe. Akaniambia anaishi hapo pande za integrity Centre if you don’t mind unaeza kuja ukae tuone vile tunaweza fanya music your music. Akaninunulia simu yangu ya kwanza,” said Kizo-B in the interview with Mseto East Africa.
He then moved from the streets where he stayed and went to live with Kajairo.
He went on to narrate how they met at a studio called Brimstone where he shared his story with Huddah and after that the socialite kept on coming back, and for a month she bought him chips and juice every day.
“Huddah alinisaidia sana. Ndio alikuwa mtu wa kwanza kuchukua ‘ulinibeep’ na kuisambaza kwa watu. Kuna studio inatwa Brimstone hapo Koja na kashop flani walikuwa wanapenda sana kutengeneza juice za maembe.
