French World cup star, Kylian Mbappe is rated as one of the best players in the world and the youngster continues to knock on the door of greatness. He made his first team debut at Monaco and his goals and performances ensured that his team won the French Ligue 1 and reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League that season.

Mbappe was obviously destined for a bigger team and was tipped to play with his idol and role model, Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid but he made a loan move to his boyhood club and French giants Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2017 with the option to sign permanently for £166m.

Mbappe and his team-mates fell short of European glory as they lost to eventual winners, Real Madrid in the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League before winning all available titles in France. He then went on to win the FIFA World Cup in Russia with 4 goals which came against Peru in the group stage, Argentina in the round of 16 and Croatia in the final.

The former Monaco man was voted as the best young player of the tournament and was nominated for several awards including FIFA’s Best Player of the Year, 2013 and the Balon d’or award. Mbappe who has already won the Golden Boy award in 2017 finished 4th in the Balon d’or of 2018 as well as FIFA The Best Awards for best footballer of the same year.

Former Manchester United and Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho is also a fan of the French star and the Chelsea legend says he believes that Kylian Mbappe is far and away the most valuable player in the world, adding that the young French forward is currently “unbuyable” and would not have been signed by him if he was in charge of Manchester United or any European club.

Mbappe has since helped guide France to the World Cup crown in Russia in 2018, while scoring 26 goals in 23 Ligue 1 appearances this season. And Mourinho, who recently said he values Mbappe higher than his compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi on the world market, says the forward is all but unbuyable for every club in the world.

“I don’t tell he is now the best player of the world. But in my opinion, he’s the one with the most important market value today,” Mourinho told Canal Plus. “If I was manager in a club, I would not even think of Kylian Mbappe because he’s unbuyable, inaccessible. If anyone wants to try buying him, good luck!”

PSG, meanwhile, currently sit atop Ligue 1, maintaining a 20-point lead on Lille despite the second-place side playing one extra match all but securing another league title.  Next up for PSG is a clash with Toulouse on March 31 following the conclusion of the international break.
However, the club was eliminated from the Champions League at the hands of Manchester United as the pursuit of European glory will have to wait another season for the French side. The lack of Champions League success for the French giants may spur Mbappe to move on to another club as Real Madrid continue to chase the frenchman’s signature
