President Uhuru Kenyatta is not ready for Deputy President William Ruto to succeed him, Lawyer Miguna Miguna has claimed.
The self-proclaimed National Resistance Movement (NRM) leader said Uhuru, who is completing his second term in office, is using ODM Leader Raila Odinga to block Ruto from becoming the President of this nation.
He alleged that Uhuru wants to make Kenya a one-party state so that he can continue to lead even after he completes his term as stated by the constitution.
He said that Uhuru used Ruto to rig the last two general elections and now has dumped him to embrace Raila, also Luo political kingpin, to stop the second in command from taking over power when he retires.
“Uhuru Kenyatta used @WilliamsRuto to steal two successive elections but now Uhuru is pretending to distance himself from Ruto and is using @RailaOdinga to make Kenya a de facto one-party dictatorship. We must fight for FREEDOM and install a merit-based system that caters for all,” he said through his Twitter handle.
Ruto’s camp has been left in jitters following the handshake between Raila and Uhuru. The leaders allied to the second in command believe that Raila wants to end Ruto’s political career after he vowed to work with Uhuru.
