Jose Mourinho believes Barcelona and Juventus will face each other in the Champions League final

Jose Mourinho believes Barcelona and Juventus will face each other in the Champions League final in June.

The quarter-final and semi-final draw was made earlier this month, allowing teams to see a clear path through to the showpiece at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.

Tottenham face Manchester City in an all-English quarter-final, with the winner facing whoever advances from Ajax’s tie with Juventus.

On the other side of the draw, Manchester United take on Barcelona, while Liverpool must find a way past Porto.

Mourinho feels that Juventus and Barcelona, with the respective powers of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi behind them, will reach the final.

“Juventus and Barcelona are the two great candidates for the competition and will reach the final,” he told AFP.

“All they talk about Ronaldo and Messi, but I prefer to talk about Juve and Barcelona.

“I will always be a football coach and football continues to be a team sport. The Bianconeri and Blaugrana have experience, talent and a special player each.

“The English teams, Ajax and Porto are good sides too but they don’t have the same amount of experience.”
