Kisumu county governor Prof Peter Anyang’ Nyong’o’s daughter actress Lupita Nyong’o will be part of news headlines in the US until the horror movie ‘Us’ is replaced by another talk-of the town film.
Movie critics have already given Lupita’s horror movie ‘Us’ an impressive average score of 80% even before the film premiers on cinemas across the globe.
Lupita has received massive fame, photos and videos of her taken at random and making appearances in TV stations across America for interviews.
The 36 year old lead actress in an appearance on Good Morning America stunned in a flirty floral outfit covered in a mustard coat, her African hair tied up in a fashioned bow and her eyes covered in shades with glittering diamond pieces.
During a past interview with Sky News, the Mexican born showered praise for her director Jordan Peele for refreshingly redefining the face of the African-American irrespective of their ethnicity.
“I loved how unremarkable it was that they were black, because I often feel quite unremarkable, I don’t live my life always considering the color of my skin and it was nice to have that.
A family that we could project our own understanding of a family on to no matter what color our skin is, and that the paradigms to which they were navigating this particular monster had nothing to do with the color of their skin.
Yeah, that’s refreshing.”
On Ellen-tube with Ellen DeGeneres, she confessed of how she has always loved Peele’s work and wished to one day work with him.
“I’d walk off a cliff for Jordan Peele. I was madly in love with the mind of Jordan from the Key & Peele days, and I remember putting him on my ‘one day I’ll work with’ list.”
As the cover face of Vogue Magazine, she also talked about the pressure she faced working on her idol’s creative piece.
“Of course it dawned on me that I’m going to be the lead in [Jordan Peele’s] sophomore film – all eyes are on him; his eyes are on me.
There’s a level of pressure that I experienced. I had a reverence for him, and I realized that reverence kills creativity.
I had to work my way out of that to a place of respect so that I could respect myself enough to offer my talent and trust myself enough to contribute to his vision, rather than being dwarfed by it.”
