A 50-year-old man from Igena Itambe Village in Bosamaro, Nyamira County killed himself on Saturday morning over reasons yet to be known. Joel Atuti Metobo’s body was found dangling from a rope tied to the rafters of his bedroom.
Metobo was the deputy principal at Matongo Secondary School in Nyamira County. Bosamaro Chache chief Fred Mokembo said Metobo’s wife made the shocking discovery, when she returned to the bedroom from the kitchen, where she had gone to prepare breakfast. At the time Metobo’s wife was leaving the bedroom, her husband was “deep asleep”.Upon discovering Metobo was dead, the distressed woman raised the alarm. Police arrived at the scene and took Metobo’s body to Nyamira County Referral Hospital mortuary.
