The incident emerged a few weeks ago where one of the boys reported being sodomised by the cook. He said the cook used to entice them to the kitchen and before committing the act. He would later threaten them forcing them to keep quiet.

The cook is alleged to have threatened to deny the boys food if they breathed a word about the incident to anyone.

39 boys are housed at the children’s home which also has a primary school wing.
