Thanks for caring, Loanee keeper David Ospina thanks fans for their concern after collapsing

The Arsenal goal keeper loanee to Napoli over the weekend collapsed as the match was ongoing before the first half was over and rushed to the hospital.

It presented a thick cloud to the club and the fans as it was thought to be a serious incident but that has been cleared and he is said to be in a stable condition.

David Ospina thanked fans for their concerns as he declared he is completely fine following Sunday’s worrying head injury.

The goalkeeper who is on loan at Napoli from Arsenal collapsed on the Stadio San Paolo pitchminutes after a collision with Udinese forward Ignacio Pussetto.

After initially playing on, Ospina left the field on a stretcher shortly before half-time and was taken to hospital.

After being given a CT scan and being kept in overnight by doctors, he left the Naples hospital on Monday.

“David Ospina was discharged this afternoon from Pineta Grande Hospital, where he was taken last night for a series of assessments and specialist visits,” read a Napoli statement.

“All the tests came up negative. The visits ruled out any problems. The diagnosis was that of a vasovagal syncope, which was resolved within a few hours.

“The player was advised to take a few days off and will not be called up by Colombia.”

And on Monday evening, Ospina shared a touching snap with his children from at home in bed.

He tweeted: “Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone for your prayers and your thoughts.

“I am fine and recovering with my family.”I hope to be back soon and stronger than ever!”

Napoli face Arsenal in the Europa League next month, with Ospina set to be eligible to face his parent club.
