Tuesday afternoon was no ordinary afternoon in Kenya. This is due to the fact that Flying Squad officers nabbed 17 billion earlier believed to be fake currency in a safe container at Barclays Bank, Queens Way Branch, Nairobi.
Barclays Bank would later release a statement that the said safe and money belonged to a client at their bank and that the bank is willing to give all the relevant information to the police to aid the investigations.
DCI detectives camped at the Barclays Queensway branch as they initiated in-depth investigations into the multi-billion cash syndicate.
They later took with them suspects believed to have been behind the nabbed Cash.
