On receiving the sad news of the death of CS Ukur Yatani’s mother, Mama Gumato Yatani, President Uhuru and his deputy William Ruto tweeted their condolences. This was not received well by Kenyans who felt the president couldn’t take a chance to recognise the Turkana people who are dying of hunger.
The President’s teeet read; “My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Labour and Social Protection CS Ukur Yatani following the death of Mama Gumato Yatani. Mama Yatani was a strong pillar and a respected member of her community. May Almighty God give you the strength and courage to bear the loss.”
