Gang members who invaded Maseno University in Kisumu had their days numbered.
Nine suspects have been arrested in connection with robbery with violence and gang rape of students at Maseno.
The suspects were arrested on Sunday by Directorate of Criminal Investigations detectives acting on a tip-off, Citizen TV reports.
The nine include; Patrick Okanda, Peter Amango Sande, Geoffrey Okiya Mutunga, Obed Panyako, Peter Obed, David Ndegu, Samuel Kuya, Stephen Oloo and Nahashon Arena.
Police say they recovered bhang, pangas, claw bars and stolen chairs from the suspects, who are expected to be arraigned.
Students are asking the government to bring perpetrators to book.
