A group men (Chokoraa) from Gatundu,Kiambu County who wowed Kenyan two weeks ago with melodious songs have been arrested after threatening to kill a woman who exposed their deeds.
The video of the Chokoraa singing Kikuyu songs surfaced online and Kenyans didnt disappoint them as more than 400,000 were contributed to help them achieve their life time dreams.
Its now confirmed that the guys aren’t disadvantaged but fraudsters who earn a living by false pretense.
In a Facebook post by Ndung’u, philanthropic Kenyans offered to fund raise and support the young poor singers to help them achieve their dreams.
The men are currently under police custody after they threatened to kill their neighbour who they felt had become a stumbling block to their business.
“They were arrested last night after threatening to stab their neighbour who they felt was telling out their secrets.
They have not been in the streets but have been living in Gatundu North and only apply oil when coming to ‘work’,”
Already Well-wishers have helped them to record a song.
