Mason Greenwood was not involved with the U19s squad who have lost 3-1 to Midtjylland thus bowing out of the Youth Champions League despite a very impressive run during the group stage. Some report that he missed through illness although other reckon it might indicate his involvement in the group to face Wolves in the FA Cup.
Angel Gomes scored the only goal, a well converted penalty, but other than that Man United youngsters posed little threat:
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already used Greenwood. The 17-year-old striker had his Champions League and Premier League debuts last week.
Seems that without Greenwood, there is lack of cutting-edge. Too few in that starting 11 that can actually open up defenses by running at them (only TC good enough). Though FCM created next to nothing a got a bit lucky with scoring 3, Utd also didn’t create enough. Disappointing— Jes (@JesAmbro) March 13, 2019
