The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has wasted no time in doing it’s job.

After the video of students beating up one of their own over stealing girlfriend allegations went viral, the DCI swung into action and ordered probe into a video circulating on social media showing two students of Technical University of Mombasa clobbering colleague.

The students identified as Chinga and Cedric gave their colleague a dogs beating for allegedly snatching a girlfriend from one of them.

In the video, the victim who was identified as Alloys Mwangi was accused of hanging out with a lady identified as Angel yet he knew very well she belonged to someone else.

“Alloys, do you know whose girlfriend is Angel?” asks one of the rogue student as he hits Alloys on the head with a stick.

The helpless student is reported to have been shaved his hair unwillingly before he was forced to lie down and receive several strokes of the cane as the other man kicked him on the stomach and stepped on his head tightly holding him to the ground.

The DCI ordered the student to record a statement at the nearest police station and share the OB number with the investigating agency.

“Good evening @Onsombi. Kindly advise the victim to make a formal report at his nearest Police Station and then share the OB number with us. We will ensure that Justice is served. Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention,” said the DCI

With the help of university student leaders under the leadership of their Secretary General Gabriel Mwanzia, the matter was reported at Makupa Police Station and the OB number shared with the agency.
