Now, it seems that the tech giant could be working on a second folding smartphone, with a very different design.

A patent filed by Samsung has been discovered by LetsGoDigital , detailing a foldable smartphone that doubles up as a smartwatch.

Unlike the Galaxy Fold, which folds in half like a book, the new smartphone appears to bend round into a cuff.

When folded, the screen would sit on the outside of the device, allowing you to interact with it from your wrist.

Both the top and bottom sections appear not to bed, suggesting the electronics and cameras are stored in this sections.

This could make the smartwatch rather uncomfortable to wear.
